Who we are.
We are WT.
Queensland’s firm dedicated to compensation law, founded entirely by demand from our community and clients.
Many great origin stories start with two innovators faced with a problem who are inspired to create something better. We were founded by two best mates Jono and Sinau, who had a dream to create a law firm that actually put the client first, always. That meant lower fees, higher client happiness and a focus on building genuine relationships with our clients.
Our founders go all the way back to playing rugby league together in their law school days with dreams of starting a law firm together. Fast forward many years, both held managerial Mentor positions at a large national injuries firm, however their personal values didn’t align with how profits were always the focus. They knew if they ever wanted to put the focus back on their clients, as it should be, they needed to do it themselves. After many clients, colleagues and community members kept insisting they start their own firm, as the best man at Sinau’s wedding, Jono gave him a pen engraved with “WT Lawyers” and the idea was born.
We have always been celebrated by our clients for our genuinity, personality and heart and knew if we could create a firm with a culture built on those values, that actually served the client, that would be something special.
